Intelligent and functional data center design requires the expertise of licensed architects and professional engineers who have decades of experience with critical facilities. The complexity of these facilities necessitates understanding and documenting a client's requests and imperatives, translating these into an array of interrelated layers of site drawings, and subsequently interfacing with a client to ensure that the facility's design comprehensively addresses the client's needs and requirements. When designing a facility or facility components, NetLogix's engineers consider everything, from client requirements, to budgeting, to scalable design and planning for the facility's lifecycle in the coming decades.

When NetLogix undertakes designs for a data center, web-hosting facility, network operations center, telecommunications center, or public safety command center, we handle every aspect of a facility's design, including those highlighted below.

Mechanical/Electrical Plant and Design

We design HVAC systems and undertake unit selection based on industry best practices and architect AC and DC power systems and grounding plans. We are extremely knowledgeable about N+1 redundancy and backup HVAC and power systems and we are capable of designing fault resistant Tier 3 and 4 data centers.

Structural Engineering

A data center has unique structural requirements compared to any other building. The NetLogix team has been constructing data centers for two decades. We understand how to design or reconfigure a building or floor so that it is secure, structurally robust, and meets all industry standard guidelines for safe and efficient operation.

Flooring Systems Design

From the complexities of raised floor plans to integrating relay racks with floor tile configurations, NetLogix knows how to architect the multifaceted floor systems within critical facility environments.

Space Utilization Design

Planning for a facility's growth is an indispensible part of sound facility design. Our engineers are familiar with hundreds of different units of computing and power equipment common to data centers, and design all rack and cabinet layouts in order to facilitate easy expansion on down the road.

Security Systems Design

A small but invaluable part of any data center is its network of security alarms, cameras, and panels. NetLogix stays on top of industry best practices in order to always design data centers that have the most cutting edge security equipment and protocol.

Fire/Life Safety Design

Fire alarms on floors and ceilings, successfully tested suppression systems, and fire department connections are only the building blocks of a fully functional fire and emergency alarming system. NetLogix works not only to implement such a system, but also to propose a preventative maintenance session schedule to ensure that this system is always fully operational.

Telecommunications and Data Systems Design

Most of our staff members have decades of experience in telecommunications, and all of our design engineers have been working with 3G technologies since the inception of such technologies. Accordingly, NetLogix is entirely capable of circuit and transport design and relevant cabling plans that make a facility a functional, upgradeable, major network node.

Network Operations Center and Control Center Design

NetLogix can engineer all necessary facets of operations and control centers, whether these are private corporate facilities or governmental facilities. We engineer operations and control centers that are dynamic, scalable, and completely reliable.

Audio and Visual Systems Design

Many data centers used as operations or control centers need to have large scale video and audio systems to help facilitate war room response activities. NetLogix engineers excellent, useful audio and visual systems for such purposes.

Wireless Communications

The NetLogix Team consists of world experts on Wireless LAN (802.11, 802.15.3, etc.), and can extend or integrate wireless communications into any facility that we design. This is particularly useful when a facility needs to be able to access wireless sensors, video systems or other wireless technologies.

Whether we are engineering a facility from the ground up, or creating design plans for a minor modification or removal at a facility, we leverage decades of experience to execute a design in the most intelligent and circumspect manner possible. We create design documentation tailored to our clients' expectations. We work on many different levels of design projects, and have offered an overview of the spectrum of design projects NetLogix is capable of below.

In summation, we are comfortable with all design projects related to data centers. NetLogix designs modifications that are logical, functional, and cost effective, and takes pride in a rapid turnaround rate for all requests related to facility modification designs.

While design is certainly one of our major strengths, we also project manage build-outs and facility modifications for which we have created initial designs.
